PIONEERS and SUFFRAGISTS aims to identify 360 women who lived in Colac and the surrounding districts in 1891. These pioneers and suffragists were among the 30,000 women who signed the Monster Petition in support of Victorian women being granted the vote.
AND if you can't get down to Colac, you can pick up a copy at the Royal Historical Society of Victoria, 239 A'Beckett St, Melbourne, Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 pm.

ReplyDeleteI have been researching our family tree and found your book referencing my great grandmother Mary Moloney of Elliminyt. Mary signed the 1891 Petition. I have just placed an order for your book through the Colac Family History site.
